Andy Ruprecht is a third-generation McDonald's Owner/Operator taking over the family business his grandparents, William (Bill) and Ilene Ruprecht started in 1966. Andy followed the path of his father, Steve Ruprecht to get where he is today in the burger business.
It was 1957 when Bill Ruprecht, worked as an auditor for the Farm Bureau in Jefferson City, MO and decided to open his own accounting business with his wife as his partner. Bill took on many clients as he began his new venture but one that would change his life, forever—McDonald’s.
Bill and Ilene Ruprecht worked on the finances for the McDonald’s restaurant on Missouri Boulevard in Jefferson City, MO for many years through their accounting business. This McDonald’s location opened its doors in 1959 and by 1966, the store was simply not doing well. There were five partners in the business and two of them were ready to sell their portion and move along. So, Bill did what any young husband with an entrepreneurial spirit does, he hurried home to sweet talk his wife, Ilene, into taking out a second mortgage in order to purchase stake in the burger business. She said YES and little did they both know then that this decision would provide opportunity and growth for their sons and grandsons that today extends from Jefferson City to Branson, Springfield to Columbia and many great Missouri towns in between.
Andy started working his first job at the Missouri Boulevard restaurant in Jefferson City. A store that marks the start of the family legacy. Attending college at Mizzou and earning a degree like his grandfather and father in accounting, he worked in Columbia, MO for a local developer utilizing his degree. Andy returned to the family business and was granted official McDonald's ownership in 2010.
Today, Andy owns and operates ten McDonald's restaurants across the Big Mo BU.
