The McDonald’s Happy McReaders Summer Program Returns for Summer 2026!

Enrollment is now open for libraries interested in participating in the 2026 McDonald’s Happy McReaders Summer Program.

Please click the link below to enroll your library. Before registering, be sure to review the list of participating McDonald’s locations to confirm that your local McDonald’s restaurant is offering the program.

Last summer, children across the Big MO business unit read more than 115,000 books through the Happy McReaders Program. Hosted in partnership with McDonald’s Big MO BU restaurants, the program gives local libraries the opportunity to reward young readers with a special incentive — a Free Happy Meal, for continuing their reading journeys during the summer months.
