Teresa McGeehan Background
In 1983, Teresa was hired to work as a crew member at the Lebanon, MO McDonald’s restaurant when she was just sixteen years old. While her objective then was not exactly to stay in the burger business long-term, Teresa took on the job to earn enough money to purchase her first car. But after she graduated from high school, the General Manager of the restaurant sat her down to let her know that he saw the potential in her to grow within the McDonald’s brand for years to come.
Over the next few years, she pushed herself to keep moving through the ranks of the McDonald’s system and achieved the title of Owner/Operator in 2009. Even during the rigorous approval process, Teresa kept her eye on the key ingredient to success in the burger business—her people.
Chip McGeehan Background
Chip became interested in pursuing a future as a McDonald's franchisee following conversations with a duck hunting buddy who was a franchisee himself. After learning what it took to become a McDonald's Owner/Operator, Chip started the registered applicant process and trained in Cincinnati, OH. In 1988, he bought his first restaurant in Marshfield, MO and continued to grow his organization from there.
In the midst of both of their journeys at McDonald's across the Ozarks, Chip and Teresa's paths crossed. It's a true example of "love under the arches", and they were married in 2009.
Chip and Teresa both have an immense passion for their people and community. Chip is heavily involved with conservation and in 2021 he was awarded the Boy Scouts of America Distinguished Eagle Scout Award.
